Designed for the most memorable occasions, the Moët & Chandon Nabuchodonosor Brut Impérial deploys 15 litres of pure celebration, roughly 120 glasses, in a sober presentation in a wooden case. Descended from a style created in 1869, this cuvée blends more than 200 crus and reserve wines to create a luminous harmony between ripe fruit intensity and freshness. Pear, white peach and citrus combine with floral breezes and brioche notes for a fine bead and a flavourful palate. The large format amplifies conviviality, ensures consistent service and delivers a spectacular staging designed for unforgettable receptions.
Description
Symbol of a grand celebration, the Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial Nabuchodonosor delivers the generosity of a large format of 15 litres, equivalent to 20 bottles, putting every event on a spectacular scale. Inheriting a style established in 1869, this cuvée expresses the House's DNA: bright fruit, lively freshness and balanced maturity. Its size is not mere theatrics; it favours a very fine effervescence and a creamier texture, much appreciated by connoisseurs. Designed for hosts who want to offer a rare, perfectly orchestrated moment, this Nabuchodonosor combines aromatic consistency, smooth service for large groups and an iconic aesthetic, presented in its caisse bois. Pear, white peach and citrus mingle with floral notes, delicate brioche and a touch of fresh walnut for an immediate, clear and decidedly festive signature.
Assemblage et vinification
This champagne results from a precise blend of more than 200 crus from Champagne, bringing together Pinot Noir 30-40%, Pinot Meunier 30-40% and Chardonnay 20-30%. To guarantee the continuity of the Brut Impérial style, 20-30% reserve wines carefully selected enrich the structure, adding roundness and complexity. Made according to the méthode traditionnelle, with a second fermentation in bottle, the wine benefits from ageing of at least 24 months on the lees to refine the mousse and polish the aromas. The large format, bottled under the same conditions, evolves more slowly, preserving freshness and depth on the palate. The alcohol level is 12% vol., a guarantee of balance between liveliness and breadth. The result is a very well-balanced Brut, crafted to appeal broadly without sacrificing sophistication.
Notes de dégustation
- Appearance: Pale luminous gold, animated by a shower of fine, regular bubbles that rise elegantly in the height of the large format. The clarity and visual energy announce a silky texture and a perfectly held profile, promising an airy and generous tasting.
- Nose: An indulgent first bouquet of white-fleshed fruits, pear and white peach, backed by bright citrus accents. Floral nuances and a pleasant warm brioche note intertwine with a hint of fresh walnut, composing a clear, expressive and seductive palette that is a House signature.
- Palate: A frank, savoury attack where generous fruit meets precise acidity. The texture unfolds a creamy sensation, supported by a fine effervescence, then stretches into a persistent finish with citrus accents, delicately grilled cereal notes and crisp white fruits. The whole combines energy and comfort, with excellent drinkability.
Température de service et conseils
Serve between 8 and 10°C, in large tulip glasses that showcase the finesse of the bubbles and aromatic expression. For a Nabuchodonosor, allow extended chilling, several hours in a bucket filled with ice and water, to achieve even freshness throughout the bottle. Service is easier with two people, using a cradle or service tie for a stable grip. Open gently, pour in a steady stream, then let the wine breathe briefly to reveal its full patina.
Accords mets et vin
- Aperitifs: caviar, fine claire oysters, comté gougères, citrus-marinated salmon.
- Starters: scallop carpaccio, sea bass tartare with lemon zest, poached lobster, thin tart of crisp vegetables.
- Main courses: roasted Bresse poultry, turbot with beurre blanc, mushroom risotto, tender veal with herbs.
- Cheeses: aged comté, 24-month parmesan, truffle brie, slightly creamy tomme.
- Desserts: thin citrus tart, pavlova with white fruits, almond financier, lemon shortbread.
