In 2018, a sun-drenched year with remarkable balance, this Pinot Noir reveals a depth of texture and aromatic precision that will delight the informed enthusiast and the collector alike. Born in the heart of the famous clos, on soils mixing clay, chalk and gravel, it conveys the nobility of a place where the vine has been in dialogue for centuries with stone, light and time. Assemblage et vinification

This Grand Cru is made from Pinot Noir 100%, selected from vines averaging around 40 years old. Controlled yields of around 35 hl/ha and a manual harvest preserve the integrity of the berries. Vinification follows Burgundy tradition with a fermentation in open vats, followed by a fully completed malolactic fermentation to refine texture and round out the tannic structure. The ageing, a hallmark of the house style, takes place over 10 to 12 months in 100% new French oak barrels from the tonnellerie Louis Latour with a medium toast, delivering precise, elegant oak perfectly integrated with the fruit. The expression of the Clos terroir, rich and harmonious, is thus magnified without ever being masked, offering a wine that is both ample, vibrant and beautifully framed by noble freshness.
