Description
Château Prieuré de Blaignan 2015 embodies the nobility of the Médoc terroir. Recognized with a Silver Medal at the 2018 Bordeaux Competition, this vintage stands out for its remarkable balance between aromatic intensity, power, and elegance.
Blend and winemaking
Crafted from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, the emblematic grape of Médoc, and Merlot, it combines structure, roundness, and finesse. Grapes are harvested at full ripeness, vinified according to traditional Bordeaux methods, and then aged in oak barrels, adding depth and aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes
Its deep garnet colour reflects the richness of the vintage. The bouquet offers intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark plum, lifted by spicy, vanilla, and subtle toasty notes. On the palate, the attack is round and velvety, supported by supple, well-integrated tannins. The finish is long, elegant, and fruit-driven with a touch of spice.
