€148.89 /L
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Poissenot 2022, Domaine Louis Jadot embodies the finely chiselled character of the Côte de Nuits. From a limestone and clay slope north of the Combe de Lavaux, this 100 % Pinot Noir marries silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a precise mineral backbone. Aged 18 months in oak barrels, it unfolds aromas of red fruits and spice, with a broad, structured palate and a long, refined finish. A gastronomic red that elevates roasted salmon, poultry, grilled meats and delicate game.
Description
At the top of Gevrey, on the discreet heights of the Poissenot climat, the Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Poissenot 2022, Domaine Louis Jadot delivers a luminous interpretation of Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir. The slope faces south, refreshed by cool winds from the Combe de Lavaux, and the soil, alternating limestone and fine clays, lends verticality to the wine. The 2022 vintage shows calm ripeness and a mouthwatering energy. The result is a deep red in aromatic expression, precise in its outline, equally suited to the gastronomic table and special moments. The nose suggests ripe red fruit, delicate spice and a stony mineral note. On the palate, the substance develops with velvety tannins, held by bright acidity, finishing long, straight and intensely refined. An exceptional creation that transcends the ordinary to reveal the art of French living.
Assemblage et vinification
This Premier Cru is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, the signature grape of northern Burgundy. The grapes, carefully selected, are destemmed before a fermentation in vats of about 3 à 4 semaines, to extract aromatic finesse, colour and texture without weighing the wine down. The élevage de 18 mois en fûts de chêne refines the contours, brings subtle sweet-spice complexity and harmonises the whole. The touch of the Maison Louis Jadot is evident in the impeccable balance between fruit purity, a clear reading of terroir and a sense of restraint, a style that favours elegance over display.

Température de service et conseils
Serve this Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru at around 15 to 16°C in large-bowled glasses to encourage aromatic expression and the delicacy of the tannins. Moderate aeration a few minutes before serving allows the spicy palette and stony framework to open up without diminishing freshness. Store bottles quietly, away from light, with stable humidity to preserve fruit integrity and the nobility of the texture. The wine provides immediate pleasure while also evolving gracefully over several years depending on storage conditions.
Accords mets et vin

- Entrées : roasted or lightly cooked salmon, roast poultry, mushroom pie, roasted root vegetables.
