Description
Adorned with Bordeaux elegance, the Milens 2015 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 75cl combines the charm of a sunny vintage with the rigor of meticulous winemaking. It is aimed at enthusiasts seeking a harmonious red, deep without excess, capable of accompanying a refined dinner or maturing gracefully in cellar. In an environment where precision of fruit and the lace of tannins are sought, this cuvée carves its own path. Born from tended vines, hand-picked and rigorously sorted, it stands out for perfectly balanced ripeness and a freshness characteristic of great limestone terroirs. Its aromatic palette, woven with black cherry and blueberry and lifted by licorice and cinnamon, evokes the discreet nobility of Bordeaux cellars. On the palate, everything is measured, silky and long, like an intimate quartet where each instrument finds its place. An exceptional creation that transcends the ordinary to reveal the French art of living, between fruit sensuality, precise élevage and the promise of calm ageing.
- Robe : Deep garnet with purplish highlights, supported and luminous. A clear disk and fine legs announce a lovely density of material, driven by measured extraction and meticulous élevage.
- Nez : Pure expression of black cherries and blueberries, backed by a procession of red fruits. Notes of licorice and cinnamon mark a noble oak perfectly integrated, evoking the patina of cellars. With aeration the bouquet gains complexity, oscillating between ripe fruit and warm spices.
- Bouche : A caressing attack, a precise mid-palate, threaded with silky tannins of fine grain. The balance between fruit intensity and freshness gives clear elegance. The finish stretches with restraint, sapid and persistent, carried by a spicy retronasal and a gourmand character without heaviness.
Température de service et conseils
Serve this grand cru at 16 à 18°C in large tulip-shaped glasses to showcase the nobility of the fruit and the finesse of the tannins. Decanting for 45 à 60 minutes will reveal the full complexity of the bouquet, especially in the early years after opening. Store the bottles on their side, protected from light and temperature fluctuations, to allow harmonious development. With an extended ageing potential, it is best enjoyed over the 2022–2042 window, gaining finesse and depth over time.
