Description
Launched in 2004, Amrut Indian Single Malt is the very first 100% Indian single malt, the flagship expression of Amrut Distillery and a true ambassador of Indian craftsmanship. It is made exclusively from malted barley grown in Punjab, renowned for its exceptional quality.
Production and Maturation
This whisky is matured in bourbon casks in the warehouses of Amrut in Bangalore. The tropical climate, with its extreme temperature variations, accelerates the interaction between spirit and oak. This unique maturation process produces an exceptional aromatic concentration, far beyond European standards, with the angel’s share reaching up to 12% per year.
