Description

Symbol of French elegance, the Ruinart, Coffret Duo Brut & Rosé celebrates the art of blending with two complementary expressions of the same expertise. Presented as two bottles of 75 cl, this gift set is designed for taste aesthetes, attentive hosts and lovers of fine bubbles seeking a refined present. Both a House signature and a promise of suspended moments, it answers the desire to offer, in a single gesture, two sensory narratives: one luminous and fruity with the Brut, the other delicate and charming with the Rosé. Each cuvée unfolds a mosaic of crus and aromas, sculpted by precise vinification that highlights purity, clarity and breadth. This duo is the perfect ally for carefully curated aperitifs, choreographed dinners and celebrations to be remembered, while offering the flexibility of two complementary gastronomic pairings.

Blend and winemaking

The Brut is built around a balanced blend of Pinot Noir at approximately 40 to 45%, Chardonnay close to 40% and Meunier between 10 and 15%. Sourced from a wide palette of crus, it reveals the spirit of a finely chiselled composition where roundness and tension answer each other. The Rosé brings together around 45% Chardonnay for finesse and freshness, and 55% Pinot Noir, a portion of which is vinified as red to provide brightness and aromatic depth. The blend, nourished by 30 to 40 crus and a measured contribution of reserve wines, gains complexity without ever losing its clarity. The harvest is hand-picked, fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the integrity of the fruit, and malolactic fermentation brings suppleness and balance. The Rosé rests for 2 to 3 years, with a measured dosage of 8 g/l, guaranteeing a refined tactile sensation and a perfectly controlled aromatic profile.

Tasting notes

  • Appearance: For the Brut, a clear brilliance animated by fine effervescence that underlines its vivacity. For the Rosé, a delicate coral nuance, almost diaphanous, inviting a poetic reading of the cuvée.
  • Nose: The Brut opens on yellow fruits, evoking plum tart, highlighted by touches of citrus and fresh almond. The Rosé unfolds a floral score of rose and gentle spices, joined by notes of exotic fruit, pink grapefruit and a minty hint that signs its airy freshness.
  • Palate: The Brut offers a harmonious roundness that extends into a lively, salivating finish, perfect to launch an aperitif. The Rosé, more structured, combines freshness, body and relief, with a silky texture and delicately spiced persistence, driven by noble bitterness and a zesty sensation.

Serving temperature and tips

Serve the Brut between 9 and 11°C to showcase its fruity purity, and the Rosé between 10 and 12°C to allow its floral dimension and subtle gourmandise to open up. Tulip-shaped glasses will best reveal the aromatic nuances, while opening the bottle a few minutes before service will favour the expression of the bouquets. Store the bottles away from light, in a cool, stable cellar. These cuvées can be enjoyed now, while gaining pleasant complexity after some cellar ageing, depending on your tasting preference.

Food pairings

  • Aperitifs: Comté gougères, truffled cooked ham, sea bream sashimi for the Brut; confit tomato tartlets and dill-marinated salmon for the Rosé.
  • Starters: scallop carpaccio, sea bass tartare with citrus, white asparagus with Parmesan for the Brut; tuna ceviche, lobster salad with raspberry and basil for the Rosé.
  • Main courses: herb-roasted poultry, preserved lemon risotto with prawns for the Brut; pink veal fillet, duck tataki, well-balanced spicy cuisine for the Rosé.
  • Cheeses: young Comté, Chaource, aged tomme for the Brut; Brie with red fruits, mild Maroilles on redcurrant confit for the Rosé.
  • Desserts: mirabelle tart, poached citrus for the Brut; pavlova with red fruits, grapefruit and mint sorbet for the Rosé.

Moments to enjoy

Two expressions, the same radiance, to set the soundtrack for your chosen moments:

  • Perfect for a memorable occasion when you want to offer two complementary registers of pleasure.
  • Ideal during a gourmet dinner to orchestrate successive pairings, from the first toast to the main course.
  • Cultured gift for a discerning enthusiast who will appreciate the subtle duality between lively freshness and rosé sensuality.
