Perfect as an aperitif or with refined dishes, it expresses the timeless luminosity of Ruinart’s style.
Description
Founded in 1729, Maison Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house, celebrated for its finesse, luminosity and precision. Blanc de Blancs, the emblem of its savoir-faire, showcases Chardonnay in its most elegant form. A signature cuvée of the Ruinart style, it captivates with its crystalline freshness, fine balance and remarkable delicacy.
Blend and Winemaking
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from 100% Chardonnay grapes, mainly sourced from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. Around 20–25% of reserve wines are included in the blend to ensure consistency and depth. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve purity and freshness, followed by a minimum aging period of three years in the historic chalk cellars of Reims, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Tasting Notes
The color is a luminous pale gold, with fine and persistent bubbles. The nose opens with aromas of citrus (lemon, citron), white flowers, peach and pear. On the palate, it is pure and vibrant, combining freshness and balance with delicate minerality. Subtle notes of exotic fruits and light brioche lead to a long, elegant finish.
Serving Temperature and Tasting Advice
Serve between 8 and 10°C. For full aromatic expression, pour into a white wine glass rather than a flute. Ideal as an aperitif, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs also pairs beautifully with refined and delicate dishes, thanks to its tension and precision.
