€32.27 /L
Alliance de deux horizons viticoles, le Bourgogne Gamay "Les 2 Terres" 2022 - Thibault Liger-Belair marries the juicy brightness of Gamay with the refined structure of Pinot Noir. Hand-harvested, partly whole-cluster, and aged for 12 months in oak barrels without new wood, this AOC Bourgogne red reveals a crisp framework driven by notes of blackcurrant and blueberry, lifted by peppery and floral hints. Controlled freshness, silky tannins and a clear finish make it a compelling table wine. Serve at 11-12°C, ready from 2025, peak 2026-2027, and able to develop gracefully through 2030.
Description
Born from the meeting of two great red wine traditions, the cuvée Bourgogne Gamay "Les 2 Terres" 2022 - Thibault Liger-Belair brings together the energy of Gamay from Beaujolais crus and the poise of Burgundy Pinot Noir. This distinctive blend follows a sensitive path—both generous and precise—where fruit brightness converses with a finely shaped palate structure. For lovers seeking a characterful red without weight, this cuvée offers a clear expression of the 2022 ripeness, supported by gentle vinification, restrained oak ageing and perfectly kept freshness. It stands out for its bouquet of dark fruit, black pepper nuances and floral imprint, all backed by supple tannins and a straight finish. Between seasonal bistro cuisine and market-driven dishes, it shows great versatility while retaining the drive and refinement typical of carefully made Burgundy AOC wines.
Assemblage et vinification
La trame de ce vin rouge AOC Bourgogne rests on a majority blend of Gamay from Moulin-à-Vent and other Beaujolais crus, completed by a touch of Pinot Noir notably from Bourgogne Pinot Noir and the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The harvests are manual, with around 30% whole-cluster fruit, a choice that brings extra aromatic lift and tactile tension. Fermentation, carried out gently over about three weeks, favors measured extraction to preserve fruit purity. Ageing continues for 12 months in one-wine oak barrels, with no new oak, to protect the wine’s aromatic identity and finesse. Alcohol is set at 13,5% vol., striking a balance of flesh, freshness and length.
