Description
Château Beau-Site, a renowned Médoc estate, lies on deep gravel soils overlooking the Gironde. This 2011 vintage, classified Cru Bourgeois, perfectly reflects the estate’s rigor and expertise — an authentic, structured and refined wine that embodies the character of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
Blend and Winemaking
Château Beau-Site 2011 is crafted from a classic Médoc blend: predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Manual harvesting is followed by parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve fruit purity. The wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels, around 30% of which are new, giving it roundness, structure and aromatic depth.
Tasting Notes
A deep garnet color with subtle brick reflections. The nose is elegant, revealing notes of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, sweet spices and blond tobacco. On the palate, it is silky and well-balanced, with polished tannins and a touch of freshness. Flavors of confit fruit and truffle blend beautifully with discreet oak. The finish is long and refined, highlighting the finesse of this Cru Bourgeois.
Serving Temperature and Tasting Advice
Serve between 16 and 18°C after 30 minutes of aeration. This wine is enjoyable today but will also evolve beautifully over the next 3 to 5 years, gaining additional complexity and depth.
