A luminous, precise and serene cuvée, crafted to showcase the art of French entertaining.
Description
Emblematic of understated elegance, Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut embodies the bright vision of Champagne from a great house founded in 1812. This blend, bringing together more than one hundred crus, is aimed at connoisseurs seeking a pure style, clear freshness and a delicate finish. As an aperitif it creates a moment of clarity and lightness, while at the table it gracefully accompanies precise cuisine with restrained seasoning. Its uniqueness lies in the ability to marry aromatic intensity with tactile finesse, thanks to a selection of the first pressing, reserve wines integrated with restraint and long cellar ageing. In the glass, the very fine stream of bubbles seems to trace a lace-like score, and one immediately perceives what has made the house famous: a sense of uprightness, subtle minerality and balance, like a confident pencil stroke on a pristine page. For a gift, an exceptional dinner or an intimate celebration, this cuvée offers the discreet charm of a great classic—always right, never forced—enhancing the moment without weighing it down.
Assemblage et vinification
La Cuvée is produced exclusively from the noblest part of the pressing, the first press. The blend places the Chardonnay in the foreground at around 50–55%, completed by 30–35% Pinot Noir and 10–15% Meunier, achieving a balance of tension, breadth and fruit. The mosaic of more than 100 crus comes from the three major Champagne regions, from the Montagne de Reims to the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, to offer a wide aromatic palette and a texture of fine elegance. Between 15 and 30% reserve wines refine the style, bringing complexity and consistency from one disgorgement to the next. After the secondary fermentation, the bottles rest for about 4 years in the cellars, the time needed for the bubbles to refine and the aromas to integrate naturally. The dosage, around 7–8 g/L, highlights the purity of the structure without masking it, revealing an aromatic expression of rare clarity.
Notes de dégustation
- Appearance : Pale yellow with golden highlights, traversed by a fine and regular effervescence that delicately trims the surface, promising a chiselled texture and great precision.
- Nose : Clear expression of Granny Smith apple, fresh citrus like lemon and grapefruit, lifted by white fruits such as pear and vine peach, followed by floral hints and a subtle brioche note. A mineral impression brings definition and clarity.
- Palate : Lively, pure attack, extra-fine bubbles, a straight and luminous mid-palate. The texture reveals a filigree elegance, supported by harmonious acidity and an extended, saline, thirst-quenching finish that invites the next glass.
Température de service et conseils
Serve this cuvée between 8 and 10°C to preserve its liveliness and the precision of its aromas. A tulip glass, slightly wider than a flute, will allow the citrus and white fruit nuances and the delicate pastry note to unfold without losing the energy of the effervescence. Open the bottle a few minutes before serving to let the aromas settle and the mousse find its rhythm. Store it quietly, away from light and temperature variations, ideally lying down. As an aperitif or throughout a light meal, La Cuvée deploys a consistent expression that charms by its poise and naturalness, offering immediate pleasure and a rare sense of clarity.
Accords mets et vin
- Aperitifs : gougères, fine oysters, sea bream sashimi, salmon blinis, to highlight the freshness and delicacy of the bubble.
- Starters : scallop carpaccio, citrus ceviche, white asparagus with a light sauce, where the wine's uprightness underscores the purity of the ingredients.
- Main courses : herb-roasted poultry, sole meunière, lemony risotto with fine herbs, for a dialogue of nuance and precision.
- Cheeses : young comté, chaource, brillat-savarin, favouring creamy textures and moderate salinities.
- Desserts : thin citrus tart, shortbread with white fruits, almond financiers, taking care to keep sugar levels moderate to preserve balance.
